During the Summer our group growth and assurance director, Dawn Fowler-Stevens chose to use half a day volunteering to support 'Wimbledon Fortnight' - a fantastic idea from our head of housing in Hampshire to bring Wimbledon to the residents in some of our sheltered schemes.
Dawn said: "I had a lovely afternoon, talking to the residents at Rosalind Hill House, and finding out about their lives, nattering away and sharing knitting stories."
One of the resident's said: "I’ve had a lovely afternoon chatting to the team at Aster. It was lovely to have a bit of fun and a dish of strawberries and cream, and a glass of Robinson’s. It was beautiful sat in the newly refurbished lounge too.”
It’s so important we put on events like this for our residents, they make such a difference to the quality of their lives in our homes.
