Just under 20 colleagues got together to bring the spirit of Wimbledon to our Hampshire care schemes this month.

One resident told us: “I’ve had a lovely afternoon chatting to the team at Aster. It was lovely to have a bit of fun and a dish of strawberries and cream with a glass of Robinson’s, and it was beautiful sat in the newly refurbished lounge.”

Jean Dalziel, operations director and Dawn Fowler-Stevens, group growth and assurance director, were just two of the colleagues to volunteer for the afternoon, Dawn said: “What a great afternoon Jean and I had, talking to the residents at Rosalind Hill House, and finding out about their varied and interesting lives with all the ups and downs that come with daily life.

"To hear them talk about what they’ve done and seen was a real privilege. Rather than Wimbledon, they had more interest in the football! The afternoon we spent with them just flew by.”
