On Saturday 23 June the Wyke Down hosted Jazzie Fest to help raise money for Icknield School, which helps children and young people with severe learning disabilities.

The school playground needed refurbishment to provide a sensory environment to stimulate the pupils as they develop, play and learn and the money raised by the festival funded the project.  Gary Prince, Lyndsay Nickerson and Dawn Fowler-Stevens gave up a Saturday to sell raffle tickets and host cake stalls and be part of the event.

In addition to the volunteering hours, Aster match funded £250 of the fundraising to support the refurbishment.
